Rafael Nieto is the founder and creator of Zen-Do martial arts and currently runs three schools in London (Camden, Baker Street and Golders Green).
Zen-Do originated from the traditional Karate style of Wado-Ryu and a fighting system developed from a combination of European and Eastern martial arts. Zen-Do is an ever evolving exercise practice which aims to advance mind body and spirit. Rafael’s philosophy is “Fit for Life” and he believes that people who train in Zen-Do should be incorporating martial arts as a symbiotic part of daily life. Zen-Do and life should come together as one.
Rafael Nieto, an eight times national martial arts champion, has been a martial artist since 1975 and has represented Great Britain at World and European championships as a double winner. He became Technical Director of the National College of Karate in 1988 and British Team coach in 1992. By 1994 he represented Britain at the World Association of Kickboxing Organisation (WAKO) and founded the Spanish WAKO Organisation. Rafael is considered a leader in his industry and is often approached on a consultancy basis by print and broadcast media.
Anthony Nieto
Anthony Nieto started training at the age of 5 with his father and Senior Instructor MASTER RAFAEL NIETO. He took a break from martial arts to pursue his studies and is now back with a vengeance.
After spending the last 18 months teaching and training professionally he has won 2 consecutive full contact fights, one with an impressive 30 second knock out in the 1st round to successfully retain his national title.
He will now set his sights on achieving his Black Belt 1st Dan in September 2007.
Anthony brings energy and humour to our system and is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in the world of martial arts.
